In a world where there are many To-Do list apps, what does it mean to install and use the Microsoft To-Do for MacOS? macOS (until Mojave) has its own Reminders app that works pretty well the same as Microsoft To-Do app for the macOS. Note that changes could take several minutes to sync back and forth between Microsoft To Do, Reminders, and Things.Microsoft, finally, released To-Do app for macOS and iOS. This will delete it from Reminders, which will delete it from Microsoft To Do. Open Things, go to the Inbox, and check if your new to-do has appeared for import.Open Microsoft To Do and add a new to-do to the list you created.Under Exchange, select the list you created in Microsoft To Do.Open Reminders and confirm that a new Outlook section has appeared.When prompted, make sure that Reminders is enabled (the other features can be disabled), and tap Save.When prompted to allow access, say Yes.Choose and log in with your Microsoft account.Navigate to Mail → Accounts → Add Account.Configure your Microsoft account on iPhone or iPad.Create the list you will use to send to-dos to Things, and give it a name (e.g. Open the app and make sure you’re logged in with your Microsoft account.Configure Microsoft To Do on Windows or Android.This is not a two-way sync, just a way to send to-dos from other platforms to your Apple devices.Īt the moment, this can only be configured on an iPhone or iPad, but once you’ve imported a to-do on those devices, Things will sync it over to your Mac as well. What you can do, however, is create to-dos in Microsoft To Do and have them sent over to Things via Apple Reminders. If you spend time on Windows or Android, there’s no way to create to-dos directly in Things. Create to-dos on other platforms in Microsoft To Do, then import them in Things one by one.
